Meet Mark Ruddle:
Novoferm UK Group Sustainability & Quality Systems Manager.
Novoferm UK introduces Mark Ruddle as our Group Sustainability & Quality Systems Manager. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with our group partner Robust UK and will now showcase this across our whole Novoferm UK group.
We caught up with him to learn more about his background, how does he feel about Novoferm and find out more about him as a person.
Q. How long have you been with the company, and how has your journey evolved?
I've only been with Robust for around 10 months, starting in a quality-focused role. Over that time, I've worked across different parts of the business, developing management systems, improving processes, and supporting compliance. As the Group's ambitions around sustainability have grown, my experience in management systems, governance and continual improvement provided a strong foundation for a broader role supporting the Group's long-term objectives.
Q. What skills or experiences helped you grow into this new role?
My background in quality management has given me a strong foundation in management systems, compliance, and continual improvement. More than anything, it's taught me how to bring structure to complex challenges and work collaboratively to find practical solutions. Those skills transfer naturally into sustainability, where the opportunity is not just to solve today's problems, but to help build the systems and culture that support the Group's long-term success.
Q. How has the team or company culture supported your growth?
I've always appreciated the trust people have placed in me to take on new challenges and contribute beyond my original role. Like any business, we've had our share of challenges, but they've helped me grow professionally and personally. Throughout it all, I've been supported by colleagues who have encouraged me, challenged me and helped me become a better professional.
Q. Is there anyone you'd like to thank or acknowledge?
I'm grateful to everyone I've worked with across all of Robust, as every colleague has contributed to my journey in one way or another. I'd particularly like to thank Jeannine, Vinny and Sam for their camaraderie , support and for keeping me sane more times than I can remember. I'd also like to thank John Carey for his honesty, trust and for giving me this opportunity, and Emily Mathews, whose belief in me, empathy, and ability to bring light to difficult situations have shown me what great leadership really looks like.
Q. What are you most excited about in your new role?
I'm excited by the opportunity to help shape the Group's sustainability journey while continuing to strengthen our management systems. What excites me most is being able to look beyond the immediate challenges and focus on creating something that delivers long-term value, bringing people together, sharing best practice and helping build a more sustainable future for the Group.
