Bespoke and made to measure, each door is built to a high specification. GRP panels are mounted onto individual steel frames to prevent distortion, with a flow coat applied to the reverse for a clean finish.
As standard, all side hinged doors feature: heavy-duty steel hinges, solid door stays, a centre style for added security, weather seals, Euro deadlock latch, black lever handles inside and out, and come pre-fitted with frames for straightforward installation.
Doors are made with equal-sized leaves that open outwards to maximise internal space. The right-hand leaf opens first as standard (viewed externally), with a left-hand opening option available on request.

Opening method
Side-hinged doors open as per a normal pedestrian door with two door leaves connected by hinges at the side to the main door frame. This consist of two doors that open “barn door” style rather than operating vertically.

With 18 finishes across our GRP range, we give you the option to choose a colour that’s right for you. Alongside this, we also offer these doors in any specific RAL colour
In addition to our colour range, almost all individual RAL colour requests are possible for a small surcharge - with the exception of a few metallic, fluorescent and pearl effect colours and some particularly dark shades. Ask your specialist dealer.
Let light into your garage:
If you’re looking to create brighter, more spacious interiors, you’ll want to invest in glazing for your steel side-hinged doors. At Novoferm, selected styles across our side hinged door range are available in a range of attractive designs to blend with your current house windows or doors. Our glazed windows are constructed from shatter resistant polycarbonate with a stippled, translucent anti reflective finish.
Transparent or clear windows are see-through and allow light into the garage. Translucent windows have a stippled effect which allows light into the garage but are not see-through. Plain black windows are decorative only and don’t allow any light into the garage.
Sturdy & Rigid - The Novoferm GRP door incorporates a solid steel ‘goalpost’ frame as well as timber elements too. Because our doors don’t utilise a frame made entirely of wood, you can say goodbye to having to deal with the frame rotting and weakening. The frame is fully encapsulated within the structure of the door and finished to a high standard.
Outstanding Finishes - To ensure that any wood effects are perfectly replicated, great care and attention are spent reproducing this wonderful natural aesthetic by hand, applying the wood tone finish to the doors. We apply an additional smooth gel flow coat to the back of every GRP. The top, side, and bottom edges are finished with a matching colour or wood stain effect for improved appearance that matches the durability and strength of these doors.
Quality Construction - When you purchase a Novoferm GRP door, you’ll be purchasing a door that comes with an official seal of quality. Our seal of quality constitutes a warranty, and for our GRP doors, a ten-year warranty is provided as standard. Hand-crafted panels encased in strong a strong steel chassis are added to the doors to complete the overall construction.

Not only does this eliminate the need to use a timber frame, but it also cuts down the amount of time it takes to complete the installation.
