Meet Alina Salver:
HR Advisor
Novoferm UK, are thrilled to welcome a new addition to our HR team! Alina has joined the business looking to progress in her HR career and build on her experience to widen her variety of work and add value to the business.
We caught up with her to learn more about her background, how does she feel about Novoferm and find out more about her as a person.
Q: What initially attracted you to join the company?
When I first applied, I was looking to progress in my HR career and build on my experience in a role where I could get involved in a wider variety of work and really add value to the business. The Novoferm role felt like a strong match because it offered scope to grow, learn and take ownership. What truly confirmed it for me was the interview—meeting the team and hearing how they work together made a big impression. They were welcoming, down-to-earth and passionate about what they do, and it felt like an environment where I could develop while being part of a genuinely supportive team.
Q: How has your role evolved since you first started?
Since joining Novoferm in 2023, my role has evolved significantly, and I now primarily support the residential side of the business. This has meant taking on greater responsibility for day-to-day HR support, advising managers and employees, and helping to manage a wide range of people matters. As the business has grown, I’ve been able to grow with it—developing my confidence, expanding my knowledge, and continuing to focus on my professional development. I’ve also gained experience in areas I didn’t expect when I started, which has helped me broaden my skillset and become more well-rounded in the HR Advisor role.
Q: How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to spend time outdoors by going on hikes with my husband, whether that’s a countryside walk or exploring somewhere new at the weekend. We also enjoy travelling around the UK and visiting historical sites, as I’ve always been interested in history and heritage. When I’m at home, I like to relax with a good book (usually crime or horror) and I enjoy painting, which gives me a chance to switch off and do something creative.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
The thing I enjoy most about my role is the relationships I’ve built with colleagues across the business and the level of trust my team and I have developed over time. I particularly value being a point of contact that people feel comfortable approaching, whether it’s for guidance on a sensitive issue or general advice. Seeing employees proactively coming to us early with concerns has allowed us to resolve issues more effectively and support both staff and managers in a more constructive way.
HR can sometimes be perceived as purely procedural, so it’s been especially rewarding to help shift that perception by building strong, approachable relationships and demonstrating the value we can add. Seeing that change in how people engage with us is something I find genuinely motivating.
