Novoferm UK Introduces Assistant Transport Manager

Meet Aaron Fine:
Novoferm UK Assistant Transport Manager

Novoferm UK introduces Aaron Fine as our Assistant Transport Manager.

We caught up with him to learn more about his background, how does he feel about Novoferm and find out more about him as a person.

Q: What initially attracted you to join the company?

After the birth of my first daughter, I was ready for a change and applied for a role with Novoferm. In my previous position within pharmaceutical B2B haulage, I managed the fleet side of the operation.

When I came across this role, it immediately stood out because it offered exposure to the full transport function. I was keen to broaden my experience by gaining a deeper understanding of areas such as driver management and warehousing, while still utilising my existing fleet expertise. The role provided the perfect opportunity to do both.

Q: How has your role evolved since you first started?

Over the past 10 years, the business has gone through significant change, including shifts in leadership, systems, and team structures. Despite this, transport has remained a consistent and vital part of the operation, which reflects the strength of leadership within the department.

As a team, we have adapted to new challenges and continuously evolved the way we work. The department has also expanded its support to include our sister companies and wider industry partners.

Personally, my role has developed to incorporate both my previous experience and the new skills I’ve gained since joining, allowing me to contribute more broadly across the function.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to support both internal and external customers. While we can’t always meet every request, we always do our best to deliver the best possible outcome.

The close collaboration between the Transport and Warehouse teams is something I particularly value. It creates a strong, supportive working environment with great colleagues. We spend a lot of time at work, so it’s important to enjoy it, and we maintain a positive atmosphere, often sharing a laugh, usually about upcoming Disney holidays.

Q: How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and children, often taking my daughters to dance competitions or gymnastics classes. As a family, we love to travel and always like to have something in the diary to look forward to.

I also enjoy playing golf with friends whenever I get the chance.
