Payroll Supervisor
Novoferm UK, are thrilled to welcome a new addition to our team! Mary has joined the business looking to establish the payroll function and to successfully deliver necessary processes.
We caught up with her to learn more about her background, how does she feel about Novoferm and find out more about her as a person.
Q: What initially attracted you to join the company?
I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to establish the payroll function from the ground up. The challenge of implementing a new payroll system and successfully delivering the first end-to-end payroll process was both exciting and professionally rewarding.
Q: How has your role evolved since you first started?
When I joined, payroll was fully outsourced. I took the initiative to gain a comprehensive understanding of all payroll processes, which enabled me to successfully transition the function in-house. Since then, I have assumed full responsibility for managing and delivering the payroll end to end independently.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
I take great pride in ensuring payroll accuracy, as it is essential that employees are paid correctly and on time. I also value the opportunity to support colleagues and provide assistance whenever needed, contributing to a positive and reliable working environment.
Q: How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I dedicate time to voluntary activities, including supporting young adults with learning difficulties, which I find highly rewarding. I am also an active volunteer at Keech Hospice. In addition, I enjoy staying active through aerobics and regular walking.
