Meet Ramona Panesar
Financial Director - Residential Division
Novoferm are pleased to announce the appointment of Ramona Panesar as Financial Director for our Residential division. Following 18 months in their previous role with our Novoferm Group partner BGS, Ramona has been internally promoted in recognition of their strong contribution and continued commitment to the business. We caught up with her to hear about their journey, what drew her to Novoferm, and to get to know the person behind the role.
Q: What initially attracted you to join the company?
I joined the Novoferm Group in May 2022 as Finance Controller for Building Gate Services (BGS). After 18 months, I had the pleasure of being promoted to Finance Director for the Residential division, succeeding Corina Maeting following her move to Group Finance Director and IT Director.
I was initially attracted to the opportunity to broaden my experience across different business areas within the UK. The BGS role represented a clear step up from my previous position at David Lloyd, offering greater responsibility and exposure.
I am motivated by continuous learning and career progression, and the move into the Residential division has provided an excellent platform for further development and growth within the Novoferm Group.
Q: How has your role evolved since you first started?
My role has evolved significantly since I first joined the Novoferm Group, particularly with the responsibility of overseeing two distinct businesses that operate in different ways. This has required me to adapt my approach to meet the specific needs of each area effectively.
Over time, my responsibilities have expanded, giving me broader exposure across the business and strengthening my ability to manage competing priorities. This experience has also enhanced my confidence in decision-making and my ability to navigate complex challenges.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working with your team?
I enjoy working with my team, and the people I work with are a key part of that. We have built a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone is willing to share knowledge and contribute to each other’s success. There is a strong sense of teamwork, with colleagues consistently supporting one another, which creates a positive and productive atmosphere on a day-to-day basis.
Q: How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love cooking, and I’ve recently gone back to one of my hobbies; painting on glass.
I also value a bit of downtime to relax and recharge, as life and work can be quite busy at times, so whenever I get the chance, I will not hesitate to spoil myself with a spa day!
