Novoferm UK Introduces Group Finance Director

Meet Corina Maeting:
Group Finance Director

Novoferm UK, expands its leadership team and are proud to announce the internal progression of Corina Maeting from Residential Finance Director to Group Finance Director. Corina brings many years experience in senior finance positions.

We caught up with her to learn more about her background, how does she feel about Novoferm and find out more about her as a person.

Prior to joining the business, I worked in various functions, apart from finance. I started my career initially training as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. I spend 10 years in the metal-packaging industry covering finance, commercial finance as well as pricing/tendering and even had a 2-year stint as a key account manager which I really enjoyed.

During the last 8 years, I have focused on more strategic senior finance positions in pan-European international businesses.

Q: What initially attracted you to join the company?

I worked in manufacturing business for most of my career because I like the complexity and the challenges that come with working in a manufacturing environment. I came in from a different industry but managed to get up to speed quickly in terms of how the garage & industrial door industry works.

Q: How has your role evolved since you first started?

I initially joined the business as the Residential Finance Director looking after Novoferm UK and the Garage Door Company. At the time, we had just weathered the change from Navision to Business Central and were working to resolve some of the teething problems that we encountered following go live. The first few months in the role were certainly challenging!

In mid-August 2024, I was asked to step into the Group Finance Director role and take on the IT function in addition to my role in finance.

I really enjoy working in both functions and it is good to see that some of IT/digitalisation initiatives that we have already actioned have made a positive impact on the relevant businesses.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working with your team?

As my roles spans across the five UK businesses, I have the pleasure to work with colleagues in many different functions and departments. Every day brings a new challenge which means that I hardly ever get bored.

We have some great experience and skills across all businesses and it will be great to bring colleagues closer together to share best practices and ideas across all UK businesses as well as with our European colleagues.

Q:How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?

Outside work, I like to spend my time away from a screen, ideally in nature either walking and hiking. I am also a keen gardener.
