Our National House Builder Customer Coordinator

Cara was recruited by Novoferm in December 2021 as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme.

She started with the company as a member of the National House Builders Team, as a data entry clerk. In her initial interview, the business gave off an impression of friendlessness and unity, and it was demonstrated to her that the company was fronted on strong, positive, and amiable leadership.

Our Account Capacity Planner

Kieran joined the team at Novoferm UK as an engineering apprentice in 2017. Working with the company while also studying at college, Kieran worked in every department within production.

Moving around the company and seeing all the different areas of the production process allowed him to build invaluable knowledge of how the products are manufactured. This knowledge has stayed with Kieran and contributed to his successful role with the company today.

Natanian Chrupek recently joined us at Novoferm as an IT apprentice. Since joining us, Natanian has grown as a person and within the apprenticeship, proving to be a reliable member of the IT team

 He has been learning how to manage projects and support the Novoferm staff throughout his apprenticeship. He has also gained a lot of confidence interacting with users, explaining how everything works and assisting them with any issues.

Our Apprentice Research and Development Technician

Panashe recently joined Novoferm as an apprentice research and development technician. Since joining the company, Panashe has continued to grow and improve, proving to be a valuable member of the team. Taking on significant responsibilities to help the department, he has built up his understanding of Novoferm and R&D while learning and gaining vital on the job skills. 

The apprenticeship at Novoferm interested Panashe initially as it “sounded like a great opportunity to learn about a potential job”. While he has encountered some challenging tasks during his time with the company, overcoming them has made him feel very fulfilled. On what he enjoys most about working for Novoferm, Panashe noted “the opportunity for growth,” specifically mentioning being given the correct tools and assistance to improve.

Our Business Admin Apprentice

Natalie Hills joined us at Novoferm as part of the Business Admin Apprenticeship Scheme and has since completed the apprenticeship with flying colours. Natalie has stayed with us as a Transport Administrator and is a very valuable member of the team.

Natalie originally took an interest in the apprenticeship scheme because she wanted to earn while she learned. She sometimes struggled juggling education and a part-time job, and an apprenticeship was the best of both worlds – she could work full-time and gain a qualification while doing so.

Novoferm takes over French Manugestion Group
Rees, 2 November 2021. With the takeover of the Manugestion Group, Novoferm, one of the leading European system suppliers of door and docking solutions, is resolutely continuing to strengthen its position on the French market.

Within the Manugestion Group, Manuregion is a company established on the market which specialises in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial doors and docking systems.

The business was founded in 1989, has 120 employees at seven sites in the north-east of France and generates an annual turnover of 25 million euros.

For Novoferm, the acquisition is an important step in the continuing expansion of the activities of the Novoferm Group across Europe. Manuregion has steadily grown in recent years as a result of its customer-focused range of services and has acquired a strong position in its catchment area.

Our Transport Manager

Sean joined the Novoferm team as a Transport Manager after working in the garage door industry for over 20 years. After receiving his City and Guilds in HGV mechanics, Sean started work at Cardale as a door builder, working up a solid knowledge of the skills and processes involved.

He went from building and framing the doors to running the double door section, eventually finding himself in Luton, where he moved into the transport sector as a driver.

Introducing Paul Murphy

Paul joined the team at Novoferm Europe many years ago when we were based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Motivated by the direction taken by the company, Paul has always been impressed by the ambition of Novoferm to grow and improve, whereas similar companies in the industry have stagnated. Such a driven individual is the perfect fit for our talented team. 

During his time at Henderson Garage Doors in the early 1990s, Paul underwent valuable training that prepared him for life in the industry. Paul believes his choice to join the company in that stage of his career to be the best careers decision he’s ever made as it “gave a great understanding on what a customer wants and how to develop your skills.”

Introducing Jo Young

Our HR Manager, Jo, has been with us for over three years, having joined the company in what was originally a standalone role. Since then, she has grown her team to five members and brought jobs like payroll and recruitment in-house. She and her team have implemented an HRIS and continue to work hard so as to protect the business. 

Jo originally found her way into it by accident, as many people do when they land the ideal job. Having once worked in banking, she became disillusioned with having to sell to people in deprived areas who were unable to afford certain services. On changing career paths, she told us, “In August 2002, I saw an advert for an HR Administrator, applied, got the job, and the rest, as they say, is history!”

Introducing Mark Craigen

Mark joined as our Group Finance Director in November 2020, and while he still considers himself to be relatively new, a lot has changed since he first started. “We’ve achieved a lot of positive things”, he says, “despite the backdrop of Covid and Brexit”. 

Mark’s position has him overseeing the financial management and reporting of Novoferm’s five UK businesses that serve the residential, industrial, and commercial markets. “I also oversee our IT systems and communications, vehicle fleet management, as we all legal/compliance aspects of the business.” Such breadth of responsibility gives Mark the variety he enjoys.

Novoferm takes over Swedish Robust AB and strengthens position in Scandinavian and British markets
Rees, May 2019. Novoferm is consistently expanding its position as one of the leading European system suppliers of door solutions and docking systems: With the acquisition of the Swedish company Robust AB, the Novoferm Group has taken over one of the leading steel door manufacturers in Scandinavia and Great Britain and strengthens its position in both markets sustainably.

The acquisition of 100 percent of the company shares of Robust AB was agreed in the middle of May.

Robust AB, based in Nykroppa, has production facilities in Nykroppa, Sweden and Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, UK. The company employs 175 people and is specialized in manufacturing of fire protection, multifunctional and security steel hinged doors for the industrial and commercial market segments. The experienced management team under the leadership of the Managing Director David Lycett will continue to lead the company and ensure its successful development.
