Superb energy efficiency 

Our garage door operators might be incredibly advanced but they are also very energy-efficient. Even if the customer’s doors weren’t originally fitted with an operator, it’s never too late to add one! Every operator comes with LED lamps that are far more energy-efficient than halogen lamps, while still providing an excellent amount of illumination. As for the operators, they consume only 0.5 W of energy while in standby mode. 

Easy to operate by pushing a button 

Every operator can be worked using a compatible remote control along with a remote wall control panel. Customers can manage their door and light control systems, menu-guided programming and service functions, and more. It’s incredibly easy to set the desired functions thanks to Novoferm’s intuitive 3-key programming function. All our keypads are UV-resistant too, so won’t deteriorate through direct sun exposure. 

Self-learning power limitation and tamper-proof protection 

With self-learning power limitation and tamper-proof protection, customers can be assured that a Novoferm door is a safe and secure door. The system monitors power consumption whenever the door opens and closes and initiates a cut-off function if more power is used than expected. Thanks to onboard dual-processor safety technology, obstacles are detected triggering the close function to abort. 

All our doors are protected by tamper-proof remote controls protected by either 64-bit or AES 128-bit encryption and multi-digit rolling codes, so your customers’ doors will remain secure. 

The Novomatic can be easily programmed with three buttons and a concise seven-segment display that’s simple to understand. Thanks to the menu’s systematic navigation, no setting can be overlooked during programming.

All of the settings will be saved into the system indefinitely, even in the case of a power cut. The operating state of the Novomatic will always be recognisable through the transparent cover and the clear error coding will allow for fast, secure fault analysis if required.

The control box and the connection box on the door panel are normally connected by a spiral cord but this cord can get in the way and be damaged in the process. This is why Novoferm supplies connection boxes that are fitted with a battery and can transmit signals to the control box wirelessly.

 The motor can also be fitted with a release system. Cables will be used to disconnect the reduction gearbox from the spring shaft. This means that the door can be opened faster in the event of a malfunction. A spring break safety device has also been fitted into the system beforehand.

All of the drive systems have a mechanical backup fitted to the reduction gearbox of the electric motor, so the sectional door can be opened in case the power fails. It has to be activated and deactivated manually using pull cords, after which the reduction gearbox can be powered using the chain.

The beauty of our garage door operators is that they come with a wide range of excellent accessories, including 2- and 4-channel hand transmitters, remote and standard switches, opto sensors, and a great choice of stylish handles. The opto sensors help increase the door safety, providing active detection of obstacles when you’re not in line of sight. If an obstacle is detected, the door aborts the closing function. And if you have a second entrance, you can equip an emergency unlocking function, allowing you to open the garage door from the outside in the event of a power failure.
