In order to protect our Novoferm timber up-and-over doors, we apply a colourless base coat at the factory. Following the installation process, a second, pigmented top-coat needs to be applied as this helps to shield wooden doors against UV rays and adverse weather conditions. This final coat also leaves the door with an aesthetically pleasing finish.
At Novoferm, we always use carefully selected Nordic pine sourced from controlled, renewable forests in the fabrication of our timber up-and-over doors. There’s a reason why Nordic pine is so popular, and it’s because of its inviting, light tone and predominantly straight grain pattern. Nordic pine is often the go-to material for construction and furniture design. Its uniqueness is largely thanks to its spiral growth.
