Meet Russell Hamer
Regional Sales Manager (Scotland & Ireland)
Novoferm UK Welcomes Industry Veteran to Strengthen Presence in Scotland and Ireland. Novoferm is pleased to announce the appointment of an experienced industry professional who brings over two decades of expertise across garage doors, industrial doors, and loading bay equipment. We caught up with him to hear about his journey, what drew him to Novoferm, and to get to know the person behind the role.
What is your background in the industry?
I started in 2003 with Henderson Garage Doors and later ran my own garage door supply and installation company for 12 years. Over the last nine years, I’ve worked extensively with industrial doors, high-speed doors, and loading bay equipment.
What attracted you to Novoferm?
Novoferm has a great reputation and a clear, forward-thinking approach. It felt like the right time to join, especially given the positive changes the company has gone through recently.
What is your role at Novoferm?
I am responsible for developing and supporting the business across Scotland and Ireland.
How does this role differ from your previous experience?
It’s a return to garage doors but from a manufacturer’s perspective, which is a new and exciting challenge for me.
What makes this move significant for you personally?
I used to be a Novoferm customer when I ran my own business, so joining the company feels like a full-circle moment.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I’m a lifelong Manchester United fan, enjoy playing golf, and previously competed as a triathlete. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my wife, grown-up family, and my Hungarian Vizsla, Willow.
