I started at Novoferm at the beginning of April 2021 as a Sales Administrator on the Customer Service team.
During this time, with the help of my colleagues, I worked hard to change the way customers perceived Novoferm (as I am aware the company previously did not have a great reputation). My time on the team meant that I gained a lot of knowledge on our product range, marketing materials & our customers and their needs. Being able to understand what’s important to our customers, has allowed me to grow into my now current role within the Marketing function here.
After spending 15 months on the Customer Service team, a new role within Marketing came up in our Luton office where I am based – my peers encouraged me to go for it, so I did – and here I am!”
My background in Customer Service, along with hands on knowledge from other areas of the business, has really helped me in understanding how our customers work, and how best to handle this information from a marketing and branding point of view.
Being new to marketing means I am always learning new things, and I really enjoy the challenges my role brings on a daily basis. It is super rewarding when something you have planned from scratch eventually comes together and you can see the finished article. My colleagues are immensely supportive and patient with me as I get to grips with my new work life in marketing, as are our customers which I am greatly appreciative of.
The company has invested in my ongoing education to help support me in my job; I have recently started a Marketing apprenticeship which I hope to complete in 2024. My apprenticeship covers all aspects of Marketing and will hopefully give me lots of knowledge and tools to use in the future!
