Trafimatic® Plus is a multi car garage door that reflects Novoferm’s years of product experience and adds a new highlight to the product range. Its exceptional technology combines safety and ease of use: the door doesn't swing out. The weight is balanced by 2 fully encased counterweights. The operator is integrated in the frame at the side and thus offers cutting-edge safety technology. Trafimatic® Plus also complies with European garage door safety standards (EN 13241-1 and EN 12604). Pre-assembled at the factory and with cables all connected with plugs, installation is fast and simple. All controllers are tested prior to delivery.

Various design options are available to enhance the appearance of Trafimatic® Plus: Ribbed sheet steel or raised panel patterns, with or without ventilation, wood, iso 20 sections on aluminium frames or open for infill. The leaf is secured with two electromechanical locks.

Quiet operation
Precision roller guidance coupled with soft start and stop stop functions keep Trafimatic® Plus running particularly quietly. When closing, the door comes gently to rest against the frame. The leaf is secured with two electromechanical locks.

Aluminium leaf frame
The leaf frame made of aluminium profiles (optional) is clad with 20 mm foam filled sections. Choice of designs, e.g. horizontal rib, large rib, raised panel, etc.

Wood panelling
Es Various types of wood are available. They are supplied as solid planks (Nordic pine and red cedar) or multilayer solid wood boards (okoume). The open for infill option gives you all the scope you need to let your imagination run free and design your own door surface.

The door can also be opened the same way by key switch from the outside.

Emergency unlocking
If one of the safety features reports a hazard or error, the door can only be operated by dead man control, i.e. you must continue to press the button on the remote control to gradually open the door. The door can also be opened the same way by key switch from the outside.

Safety
All doors are supplied ex factory with 2 opto sensors integrated in the frame, one closing edge guard on the lower edge of the door leaf and with safety distances between frame and leaf to ensure anti-pinch protection on the sides. The activation of all safety features is noted on the top of the control cabinet.

Integrated pass door
To save having to open the door to let people through. Standard equipped with security contact and overhead door closer. Installation from outside, left or right, opens outwards. Variants with panic lock or bar, knob-lever set, black or aluminium handles.

Colours
The door leaf is standard primed in traffic white, similar to RAL 9016; the frame is galvanized. Both the door and frame can be supplied in an RAL of choice at additional cost, door and frame can also be supplied in 2 different colours. To enhance the appearance, the anti-pinch protection between leaf and frame can be covered by a brush seal.

Manual operation
The door can be manually released from the inside by pressing a button to retract the two electromagnetic catches (battery powered) and by disconnecting the lever arm from the door.

Warranty and standards

Novoferm’s warranty for doors supplied open for infill lapses in the event of failure to observe the weight specifications (max. weight per m²) or if the filling does not comply with safety standards. The manufacturer’s warranty lapses automatically in the event of improper repairs, use of non-original parts or modifications to the door.

Packaging and delivery conditions

Trafimatic® Plus is delivered on a pallet (door leaf and 3 cardboard boxes) to make loading and unloading easier. The garage door can be delivered to the building site on request.

All types of ventilation (except vertical bars) can span the entire surface or just be located at the top or bottom of the leaf. The standard height – which is attractively priced – is 600 mm.

Ventilation:
Because multi car garages are often very draughty, we recommend positioning the ventilation in the upper area of the door. This reduces the wind pressure.

Formula:
[(Coordinating width – 200) x height of ventilation] x ventilation cross section

Example:
3200 mm wide door, perforated ribbed plates at standard height of 600 mm:
[(3200 – 200) x 600] x 0.33 = 0.594 m².

Security and user friendliness

Even safer than specified by EN 13241-1 with an additional opto sensor on the outside!

Cable break safeguard
A cable break safeguard is standard fitted on both counterweight sides. The door stops immediately if a cable breaks. All rollers are fitted with ball bearings.

Remote control
Novoferm remote controls work at 433 MHz and are also compatible with the remote controls for the Novomatic and/or NovoPort® remote controls for private garages. An optional additional receiver enables as many as 1,000 users to open the door to the multi car garage.

Door locking mechanism
Each side is standard equipped with an electromagnetic lock that does not consume any power whatsoever in standby. The controller unlocks automatically when the door is opened.

Flashing lights and opto sensors
Trafimatic® Plus is supplied with 3 integrated flashing LED lights to signal indoors and out that the door is about to move. The closing edge guard is enhanced with 2 opto sensors. Both safety features are assembled at the factory, with the opto sensor on the outside and the cable break safeguard protected in the side of the frame.

Reliable, durable, non-wearing and cost efficient

This door just keeps on going, is ideal for heavily frequented garages and has an affordable 230 V connection. No need to install a more costly 400 V connection.

An automatic timer is standard included in the controller and can be programmed to keep the door open at peak times or during rush hour. That reduces the load on the operator.

The counterweights make sure the door opens and closes easily and smoothly. Their weight can be adjusted to suit the door leaf weight on site. No use of tension or compression springs that are prone to wear.

The door leaf made of 82 mm wide profiles is precision guided by 4 rollers on ball bearings.

Enhanced environmental awareness

Novoferm uses a 24 V operator to protect resources that are becoming increasingly scarce. All of the safety features (opto sensors, light barriers, flashing lights) also run on 24 V LED technology.

The door lock does not consume any power once the door is closed.

For users
Information about the connection, error messages or individual safety features are displayed on the top of the controller box, together with details of any automatic switchovers to dead man control. So finding faults is easier, and the costs are lower.

Our radio receiver in the operating controller is used to delete and learn individual remote controls, e.g. if one is lost. This ensures that only authorized people can access the multi car garage at any time.

For fitters
The controller is housed in one side of the frame (on the left or right) to eliminate the need for a separate controller with time-consuming wiring between controller and operator. One simple 230 V power connection is required. All maintenance-relevant information can be called up on a display (number of cycles, fault diagnosis, operating data, settings, etc.). A range of specific settings are possible on the controller.

The operator and controller are easy to access when the door is closed, thus facilitating maintenance. The wiring harness is numbered.

Installation benefits

With its particularly favourable installation design, a Trafimatic® Plus multi car garage door requires very little space and therefore does not restrict the clear passage unnecessarily. Since vehicle heights are steadily increasing while multi car garage door openings remain the same, making the best possible use of the available opening is particularly important.

Side or top panels in the same finish as the door enhance the range and help you to cleanly and attractively fit the door to the existing structure.

All of the electronics – controller, opto sensors, flashing lights, traffic controls – are wired at the factory. The cables then only have to be connected to the terminals on the building site. You can’t get any easier than that!

Settings
End positions, hold open times, etc., can be programmed to customer requirements prior to commissioning. A simple timer is included as a standard feature.

Installation instructions
All Trafimatic® Plus are supplied complete with installation instructions. Drawings and illustrations explain installation step by step.

Fast installation
Fast installation is possible thanks to extensive pre-assembly. The track connector facilitates track installation; all safety features have plug connections.

Simple maintenance
Information is shown on the display to enable accurate diagnosis of the garage door. All key parts can be easily accessed.
