T30 fire resistant doors for outdoor use
Verified protection against the wind and weather
Novoferm has closed a gap by developing a sheet steel fire resistant door for outdoor use: Our T30-1 N2/50 fire resistant door is suitable for outdoor use – and building code tested and approved by DIBt.
Ihre Vorteile im Überblick!
Available in BRM 625 x 1750 mm to 1350 x 2500 mm
Approved for installation in masonry, concrete and foam mortar
Properties that have been tested and verified by ift Rosenheim and EPH Dresden:
Heat transfer coefficient as per EN ISO 12567-1 UD = 1.5 W/(m²K)
Wind load class as per EN 12210.
Protection against driving rain as per EN 12208.
Air permeability as per EN 12207.
Differential climate behaviour EN 12219.
Service life of at least 15 years, subject to proper maintenance.
Note: Regular maintenance (check for corrosion, inspect hinges and closers) is mandatory due to the strong climate influences. Owners are responsible for ensuring their doors are regularly serviced and kept in impeccable condition.
So far, fire seals complying with T30 requirements were only approved for indoor use – where wind loads, seal integrity to keep out driving rain, or air permeability are not relevant.
This was not the case for doors used to access the outside, which can be exposed to very severe weather conditions, depending on where they are installed. This is why the newly approved T30 door made by Novoferm (approval no. Z-6.21-2162) is standard equipped with a lowerable floor seal to reduce thermal transmission losses.
A weather strip and the B3 base sill offer additional (optional) protection against driving rain. During installation, the frame is fitted with a seal that is diffusion tight to the inside and breathable to the outside (as per installation instructions). Possible uses
In interior walls which become exterior walls during the gradual implementation of construction projects.
If the distance to neighbouring buildings is not sufficient.
If escape routes are too long and necessitate the provision of access through an exterior wall.
Lowerable floor seal The seal incorporated into the door effectively protects against climate influences and draughts. It also noticeably improves acoustic insulation performance.
Inner door closer (optional) Controlled closure from any angle helps to optimize the function of a door while reducing wear and extending the service life.
High quality thick rebate Regardless of whether they are installed indoors or out – the attractive thick rebate on Novoferm steel doors is perceived to indicate exceptional quality.
Weather strip to keep out driving rain (optional) The weather strip effectively keeps water out, especially on exterior doors located on the weather side of a building.
