Energy Loss

The illustrations below demonstrate how air flows that can cause energy losses are put in motion when a conventional door is fitted as opposed to a Novoferm rapid roll door. The latter significantly reduces energy loss and improves the temperature of the work environment.

The indoor temperature in production facilities is roughly 19°C.
Conventional door ‘A’ opens at 0.2 m/s. Rapid roll door ‘B’ at 2 m/s!
Whereas conventional door ‘A’ opens slowly, rapid roll door ‘B’ is open and the consignment can pass through.
While warm air escapes at the top of door ‘A’, cold air flows in at the bottom. Door ‘B’ is already shut by the time these air flows start moving.
A lot of energy is lost when door ‘A’ is open.
