Wheel Guides
Wheel guides centre and guide vehicles when backing up to the loading bay opening, thus reducing the risk of damage to products and the building. Novoferm wheel guides are of tubular construction and are installed in the yard area in front of the loading bay opening. The dimension between the wheel guides is 2600 mm; this is the maximum permissible external wheel-to-wheel dimension for heavy goods vehicles. The tube dimensions and height above the surface when installed have been specifically chosen to avoid damage to wheel rims, while at the same time allowing the vehicle's tyres to mount the guide. This is not the case when concrete curbs or cast-in wheel guides are used.
